a - also acceptable in a texturized form.
b - consists of a primary coating and typically of an upper coating (intermediate coatings are also acceptable).
c - refers to thickness (measured with a micrometer) in case of texturized or embossed coatings.
d - for example, for systems, contributing to adhesional strength increase and fit for bonding metal with rubber, plastic and other materials in the following processes.
e - acceptable in a flat or a printed form, and also - in embossed form.
f - except for an adhesive film about 10µm thick.

Comments:
- Nominal thickness different from a thickness listed in the table, can be a subject of discussion between a customer and a supplier.
- For defining mass of coating on the substrate for the preliminary painting, Standard JIS G 3302 is used.
- When using a sheet or a coil for roof operations and architectural trimming, symbol R for the roof and symbol A for the trimming, are to be added to the symbols listed in the table. In this case nominal thickness and a mass symbol of a coating should conform to Appendix В 1 for JIS G 3302.
- For a sheet or a coil with undulating shape according to JIS G 3302, symbol W and a symbol for a shape for undulated sheets, should be added to a class symbol listed in the table. In this case nominal thickness and a mass symbol of a coating should conform to Appendix 2 for JIS G 3302.
- For an undulated sheet you should use a product of industrial hard, hard and engineering quality, listed in the table.
- While roof covering and architectural trimming, one should use a polymer coating of class 2 or super abrasion coating.
- When using sheet or coil for roof covering, when quality is guaranteed only for one side, the other side must be painted beige for class 2.

Examples of class symbols
- Sheets and coils of hot-dip-galvanized steel coated with polymer, of industrial quality, class 2, with quality guaranteed for one side — CGCC-20.
- Sheets and coils of hot-dip-galvanized steel coated with polymer of industrial quality, class 2, with quality guaranteed for one side - CGCCR-22.
- Sheets and coils of hot-dip-galvanized steel coated with polymer for roof covering, of engineering quality, class 3 (class 2 for the reverse side), with quality guaranteed for both sides - CGC400-32.
- Undulated steel sheets for roof covering from sheets and coils of hot-dip-galvanized steel coated with polymer of industrial quality, class 2, with quality guaranteed for one side -CGCCR-20 W 2.
